My name is Samantha Staggs, and I am creating this blog to share how I implement Montessori teachings in the fast-paced changes of our education system. I fell in love with Montessori while teaching 3- to 4-year-olds in Southern California. After moving to Utah, I began searching for my next teaching position and realized that I could not work in a daycare. As a Montessori teacher, anything outside of Montessori can be a bit daunting (haha).

I was fortunate to take on a role teaching a mixed-age elementary classroom with grades kindergarten through third grade. After two years at this wonderful school, I have discovered my passion for Montessori teaching. I have been scouring the internet for elementary Montessori ideas and found only a few classrooms to learn from and gather inspiration. I am incredibly thankful for those blogs and classrooms that have given me the confidence to create an amazing Montessori environment and spark my creative thinking skills.

I have been documenting the works and activities I teach my students, and I’ve wanted to share them with others. I finally gathered the confidence and courage to create this blog dedicated to all things Montessori. I would love to hear how you fell in love with Montessori! Please share below.
